Winning is not about headlines and hardware [medals]. It's only about attitude. A winner is a person who goes out today and every day and attempts to be the best runner and best person they can be! Winning is about struggle and effort and optimism, and never, ever, ever giving up.

Another Camping Trip!

We were able to get away and go camping over the week before the 24. We went to a place called Grassy, it is up and over the top of Ephraim Canyon. It is near Joe's Valley Reservoir, if you know where that is. It was so fun to get away and leave the worries of the world behind.

The weather kept with the trend of our previous camping trips...it rained almost everyday!! I guess it is monsoon season and so that is expected, but it was really weird to me to have it be hot AND raining!! It didn't hamper our fun too much, I think it enhanced the fun for Caidin. He had so much fun playing in the rain!!

The girls had fun fishing with Daddy and Grandpa!! Liza caught a fish when Grandpa took her fishing Tuesday night. Aaron was on his float tube in the middle of the lake, so he didn't get a picture, and I was back at the trailer with Caidin so I didn't get to see it either. She came back to camp so excited!! She loves fishing, especially when it includes quality time with Grandpa and Daddy!!! She was so bummed when Aaron got back from the lake later and she found out her fish had escaped.....it swam away when Aaron was pulling it out of the water to bring it back. He later admitted to me, that it had a little help because it was on the smaller side and so he let it go. We told Liza she could try to catch it again!!! We took both girls fishing on Wednesday, they had so much fun!! Kilee was tickled to be included! She sat with Grandpa and he helped her cast her line and she sat holding the pole, for about 2 minutes.....then she got pretty bored.

We decided to come home Wednesday rather than Thursday because we were unsure of what the weather would do. When it gets wet, the road out gets pretty slick and can be just nasty to travel, especially when pulling a trailer. Even though it cut our vacation a little short, I think it was a good decision because then we didn't have to deal with the traffic coming the other way on the narrow canyon roads. It is so much fun to get up into the mountains and out of the heat!! When we got to the base of Ephraim Canyon, I rolled down my window and was struck be the heat and told Aaron I was ready to turn around and go back up!!!

I took a ton of pictures, but when I tried to download them onto our computer the camera wasn't recognized. Needless to say I was totally upset!! I asked Aaron why it recognized the camera for all my other pictures, but all of a sudden it doesn't???!! I will try and get them put on so you all can see how much fun our kids had!!

The next annual Bailey Camping trip is over Labor Day. We will most likely go visit for the day, but staying overnight depends on when Marshall decides to make his appearance!!
