Winning is not about headlines and hardware [medals]. It's only about attitude. A winner is a person who goes out today and every day and attempts to be the best runner and best person they can be! Winning is about struggle and effort and optimism, and never, ever, ever giving up.

Happy, Happy Birthday Kilee, Dear!!!

Tuesday was Kilee's birthday!! She is 4 and oh so proud of it! She has grown so much and continues to amaze me with the things she knows and her abilities. She is so cute and such a sweet girl, we are so thankful to have her in our family. She will spend hours playing dress up....which is kind of nice because it is one of the more quiet activities she likes doing! It is quiet until she puts my shoes on and walks through the kitchen, back and forth, back and forth....that is when it is time to find a new activity!

We had a family party for her on Saturday, for which she wanted a castle cake with Snow White on it. I did a castle cake for her last year, so I was hoping this year I could wow myself and do a phenomenal job....didn't happen. I mean the cake was cute I guess, but not how I had it pictured in my head. I have come to the conclusion that I will perfect the cake designing and decorating thing just as my kids get to be too old for the cutesy cakes, such is life I guess.

She is such a blessed girl, to have so many people that love her and care about her! She received a lot of very nice things for her birthday, she was so excited! From Grandma and Grandpa Bailey, and their kids, she got a very cute green dress with white polka dots and a ballerina bunny. She received an art set from Aunt Misty and her kids, books from Aunt Megan and Uncle Paul and their family, a very cute multi-colored dress from Aunt Tami and Uncle Adam and Bentley. Grandma and Grandpa Myers put money into a savings account for each of the kids' birthdays...which is very much appreciated!! Our good friend Alicia gave her a large Disney Princess coloring and sticker book, and our good friends Cheryl and Scott gave her a kite, a way cute little spa set thing with really fuzzy pink slippers, a long beaded necklace and a very nice shoulder bag!! She wanted to use her spa set right away....she is such a girl!! Our dear friend Jennifer gave her a jewelry box, a new butterfly shirt and some cute new panties!! We are so blessed to have such great friends!! Thank you to all for the love and generosity you show our beautiful girl! Daddy, Mommy and her sister and brothers got her some new dresses for dress up, new dress up shoes, some jewelry, a feather boa, a Disney Princess drawing tablet thing, and a Barbie glam set.
