Winning is not about headlines and hardware [medals]. It's only about attitude. A winner is a person who goes out today and every day and attempts to be the best runner and best person they can be! Winning is about struggle and effort and optimism, and never, ever, ever giving up.

Correction

Upon reviewing the posted results for the marathon I found that my actual finish time was 4:40:59.6. Still a good time, since my goal was under 5 hours.

I finished 11th out of 35 in my weight group, 78th out of 116 in my age group, 390th out of 609 in gender, and 1000th out of 1432 overall. Pretty good I guess for my first marathon. Hopefully my next one will show some improvement!!
