Winning is not about headlines and hardware [medals]. It's only about attitude. A winner is a person who goes out today and every day and attempts to be the best runner and best person they can be! Winning is about struggle and effort and optimism, and never, ever, ever giving up.

Home Again, Home Again....

We got home yesterday and although we did have a great time away, it was so nice to get back home and be with the kids once again. It was so fun to have each of them run up and give us big hugs as they were excited to see us....I love it when they miss me!! It makes me feel so loved and wanted:)

We picked the kids up from Grandma Suzi's house and they were all more tan than I am and I was is VEGAS.....that is just not fair!! They had such a great time playing at Grandma's, swimming, riding bikes, having picnic, getting manicures and pedicures (for the girls) and painting in Grandma's new studio!! We are truly blessed to have such great families that are willing to help us out and watch our kids....they can be a handful by themselves and Grandma had them plus Misty's and even Megan's at times. What a woman, I think she needs a vacation now!!

We got home, and I thought it would be fun to have a slumber party of sorts! It has been a while since we had been together as a family, so I thought we should all sleep in the same room. Aaron and I pulled our mattress off our bed and blew up the air mattress for the kids. We had them on the floor in the family room and had a slumber party!! It was really kind of fun to be all together and to be able to talk and laugh before turning in. It wasn't until the middle of the night, when I realized the insanity of my idea. Kilee and Marshall kept crying out, Caidin kept smacking me in the face and kicking me in the side. I wanted to go and get in my bed in the quiet of my room, but I was in my bed.....it was a long night!
When we woke up this morning we had a big pillow fight....it was the kids and I against Aaron and he still won!! It was a great memory and hopefully we can do it again!! Maybe when the kids are a little older and sleep a little more soundly ;)!!
