So, today was the long awaited and almost dreaded day of the Utah Valley Marathon. I did it!! I ran almost all of it, I walked through the hydration stations and then a little in mile 23 due to extreme knee pain. I finished within my goal of under 5 hours. I ran through the pain of a bleeding ankle, blistered toes and then whatever is wrong with my knee. I didn't ever feel like I hit a wall, I didn't ever feel like I wanted to quit or I couldn't do it. Other than my knee and baby toe on the left foot, I survived unscathed.

My little family was near the finish line and I gave them all 5's as I ran passed. It was awesome to see that Aaron braved having all four of them as they waited for me to come in to finish. He has been such a great support through this whole thing and I can't possibly thank him enough! My Dad and Mom came out to see me too, and that meant a lot!! I started to cry as soon as I saw my Dad and stopped to give him a hug!! They have done so much for me in this crazy goal of mine. I couldn't ask for more supportive parents! My best friend Jennifer was there too and that was pretty awesome!! She is so amazing to take time out of her busy day to support me!! She is my best friend and running partner!! She has pushed me when I want to quit and lifted me up when I was down!! She is the best and I am thankful to have her support!!

I thank all of you who thought of me and prayed for me as I trained for and then competed in this huge accomplishment in my life!!! I am truly blessed to have such awesome friends and fantastic family!! I Love You ALL!!!!!
