Buttercup Bag

My sister Megan gave me fabric and a pattern for a little handbag for my birthday.  I was finally able to get to it yesterday!!  This was my first time making something by following a pattern.  I first ran down to my great friend, Jenn, to have her help me learn the pattern lingo that was all new to me.  I returned home, cut all my pieces out and commenced to sew.  After a few hours, many un-pickings and a couple redos I was finally finished.  While I am able to see all the little mistakes and imperfections, I still think it turned out pretty cute!!  I am excited to make more, my girls have told me they would like one!!  Thanks to Megan for the pattern and fabric, thanks to Angie for our sewing classes, thanks to Jenn for the encouragement and translations, and thanks to Aaron for letting me sleep in after staying up til 3 am more than once to sew!!
