Well, here it is...Deer Hunt Season. For this weekend I am a single mother while my better half gets to go and play in the mountains. But hey, at least I'll be nice 'n' toasty and comfortable in my king size bed whilst he will be on a not so comfy queen in a trailer that while it's warm it just doesn't compare to the warmth of home. Every year, no matter what, Aaron goes on the deer hunt. I guess it is one Bailey tradition that he may never be able to part with, I don't understand it, nor do I care for it much, but a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do I suppose.
I have grown accustomed to being abandoned one weekend a year, (I hope you can sense the jest), but my children on the other hand...not so much. Well, I guess it is just Marshall, the others were content to yell good-bye to him from upstairs until I made them come down and give him hugs and kisses. Marshall didn't want to let go, had HUGE alligator tears streaming down his cheeks and called after him as he pulled away. We came in the house and he continued to cry for a few minutes. I assured him Aaron would be back and that someday he will get to go on the deer hunt with Daddy. He cried a little more, but has since settled down. Hopefully this weekend will pass quickly and Aaron will return home to us safely!!
