Winning is not about headlines and hardware [medals]. It's only about attitude. A winner is a person who goes out today and every day and attempts to be the best runner and best person they can be! Winning is about struggle and effort and optimism, and never, ever, ever giving up.

Random Thoughts

Just some random things that have happened lately.

Registered Kilee for Kindergarten on Tuesday.  So sad to think I will have two in school in the fall.  She still doesn't seem big enough, smart enough-yes, big-no!!

Took Kilee to the dentist for her Kindergarten check-up.  She has TWO cavities! I couldn't believe it.  I told her she was going to end up with teeth like her dad's.  She started crying and said she didn't want teeth like daddy's because his teeth are gross.  I told her she needs to brush when I ask her to, instead of whining about it.

This last Fast Sunday Liza asked what we were going to eat for lunch.  Trying to get a reaction, I told her nothing..it's fast Sunday.  She informed me she was not fasting....Kilee chimed in and said, "Yeah, Mom, she's slowing.".  Aaron and I were laughing so hard!

A personal achievement, during my run this morning, I did my last 1/2 mile at 7 mph.  I have improved from my 1/4 mile at 7 last week.  I was pretty excited.

Our head wound expert, Marshall, has received yet another large head wound.  Coming in from the outside yesterday, our dog Koda, knocked Marshall over...throwing him into the corner of the cement steps on the front porch.  His face bounced off and he landed in the flower bed.  I was freaking out thinking he had hit his eye, but it was a direct hit to right between the eyes.  Poor kid, looks like a character from a Star Trek or something.  As I was trying to put ice on it, the other kids were getting popcicles.  There ended up only being 3 left, Eliza was so sweet and gave hers to Marshall since he was hurt.  I don't know where they get it from, but they can be so sweet sometimes.

(Don't mind the snot nose, lol. I wiped it after this picture, but unfortunately this picture was the best.)
I love my kids and am grateful for them!  Each day they are doing something or another that just helps me remember how special they are and though hard at times, it is all worth it!!!
