Happy Birthday Caidin, dear!!!

4 years ago today a sweet little boy joined our family!!! And today, he is still sweet, but not so little;)!  I am so grateful for my little man, he is so fun to be around and so loving and giving! We did without the big family party this year, and kept it small.  The boys went camping with Aaron, Friday night, so we told Caidin that could be his "party".....he was content and pleased with that idea.  We may have started something we will regret, but to see the joy on his face was totally worth it!  You see, his Grandma and Grandpa Bailey have a little bucket of Lego's at their house that he really enjoys playing with....the only bad thing, they're PINK!  He doesn't like pink, and he lets us know each time we go over.  So, for his birthday we got him a pretty good start of Lego's! He was so excited, I don't think we could have gotten the smile off his face with a steel wool scrubber!!! It hasn't even been 24 hours and we are already finding little Lego pieces in various rooms of the house.  Oh well, it is so cute to see him so excited to play with them....and he is really smart, too!! He has built 3 different things following the instructions!! I have a hard time building them, so he is already better than me!

This year he decided he wanted to decorate his own cake.  So, I let him.  One, it helped me out because I didn't need to stress over if it was gonna turn out, and two, he was so pleased with himself when he got done! I am thinking I will let all my kids do their own cakes from now on....sure, they won't look great, but the kids will feel great having done it themselves!!!!

Happy Birthday, Caidin!! We love you so much!!!

I love the small, intimate birthday parties.

you know you have boys when you find cars in your pots, dishwasher, shoes, under the plunger, and so on. Now you can have that with legos too! :)
