Winning is not about headlines and hardware [medals]. It's only about attitude. A winner is a person who goes out today and every day and attempts to be the best runner and best person they can be! Winning is about struggle and effort and optimism, and never, ever, ever giving up.

Happy Birthday Eliza!!!

Sunday was Eliza's birthday and we had the whole family over for dinner! She was so excited to see all her family and we are so fortunate to have so many loved ones!! She wanted a Cinderella cake, and so I made one, it was pretty cute, better than my Little Mermaid cake for her last birthday!

Eliza received many great gifts from her family!! She got an educational Match Game thing, yes...it is from Discovery Toys, she got a firefighter water-squirter and hat, also a Discovery Toys product. She received a Little Ensteins Number Match Game from David, Misty and their kids. She got 4 gold dollars from Adam, Tami and Bently, she received a Disney Princess jump-rope and a fairy book from Grandma and Grandpa Bailey, Adam, Gregory and Megan. She got a Dora Scooter from Megan, Paul, Mikey and Matthew and Grandma and Grandpa Myers. Uncle Paul's family was in town and they got her a helmet and knee and elbow pad set for her scooter!! It was totally unexpected and very generous on their part!

We are so grateful to all our family for their love and support as we celebrated our precious little girl, who is not so little anymore!! I will post the pictures from her party as soon as I get back home and have the USB cable to get them off the camera.
