As you all know we were scheduled to have an induction this morning. Well, apparently Marshall had his own plan in the works that we were, until this morning, unaware of.
My morning started very early. I woke up around 2:00 having some contractions...not too bad, they were bearable. As I tried to get comfortable I was up and out of bed and walking around the house for about an hour. The contractions started to get harder and more painful. Aaron was awakened by my moaning as I was trying to fall back to sleep around 3. He asked if I wanted him to take me to the hospital? He made the decision as I was doubled over in extreme pain. I did not remember being in that much pain with any of my other labors. We got in the car at 3:15, arrived at the hospital around 3:40.....just a note, on a regular day it takes us 10 minutes to get to the Smith's by our house.....he was FLYING!!! Luckily we hit every green light, and there were no cops!!! He passed one driver on Main Street in Lehi, and as we flew passed that driver laid on his horn....I guess he didn't understand that Aaron didn't want to deliver a baby in the car! Anyway, we check into the hospital at 3:40.....Marshall arrived at 4:03!!!! There was no epidural, bummer! He was 8 pounds and 4 ounces, 19.5 inches long!!! BIG BOY!!! I have not done natural labor before and now I know why!!
So he is here, 10 fingers and 10 toes!! He has a head of light brown hair, that I think is longer than Kilee's. He is pretty cute!! I have taken pictures, but the USB cable is at home, so I will have to upload them later.
Aunt Megan, Aunt Tami and cousin Bently were his first visitors!! Then he was able to meet his sisters and brother when Grandma and Grandpa Bailey brought them by!!! It was really fun to see their reactions to him. Liza and Kilee were smitten, but Caidin didn't seem to know what to think!! It was really cute!
We are so excited to have him here, even if it was a few hours earlier than we thought!!! He is cute and so far has been a very content baby. He is eating well and I am sure he will grow quickly!! I can't wait to share the pictures with you all, I will put them on Friday when I get home!!!
