Winning is not about headlines and hardware [medals]. It's only about attitude. A winner is a person who goes out today and every day and attempts to be the best runner and best person they can be! Winning is about struggle and effort and optimism, and never, ever, ever giving up.

Life As We Know It

So, life is a lot more crazy when you throw another child into the mix. It has been 6 weeks since I posted last, and it has just raced by!! I am happy to report that Marshall does not cry near as much any more. The first 7 weeks of his life if he was not being held, or asleep, he was crying. Needless to say this made my life extremely more difficult and stressful than before. It is hard to hold a baby and make dinner, fold laundry, clean bathrooms and etc. It was the day of his 7 week mark, last Wednesday, that I noticed a big difference!! He is content to sit in his swing, or be on a blanket on the the floor!! YEAH!!! Here we are a week later and still content. It is so much nicer to have a happy baby!! He is smiling, and I've almost had him laughing a couple times. He sleeps really well, so there are no complaints there!! I am only up once at night with him, so I am not feeling the effects of sleep deprivation too much anymore. It also helps that all 4 of my kids take naps at the same time during the day so I am able to sleep, or just have some "me" time.

Saturday our kids decided life was going too smoothly, so they all got sick at the same time. We are still dealing with coughs, runny noses and fevers, but hopefully we will get over them without too much more whining. Luckily, I have not gotten sick...I think the Lord is blessing me so that I can have the strength and energy required to run a home and care for 4 kids, really 5 including Aaron!!!
