Winning is not about headlines and hardware [medals]. It's only about attitude. A winner is a person who goes out today and every day and attempts to be the best runner and best person they can be! Winning is about struggle and effort and optimism, and never, ever, ever giving up.

2 week check-up
Today I took Marshall in for his 2 week visit. I am pleased to report that he is doing really well! He weighed in at 9 pounds 3 ounces and is 21 1/2 inches long!! When I saw that he had passed his birth weight, I was somewhat relieved. He seems to eat a lot, to the point where I feel like that is pretty much all I am good for, so I was glad to know that he is just a big eater and not that he isn't getting satisfied or something. It is crazy to think that he is already 2 weeks old. It is even more crazy to think that I have survived, or more importantly my kids have survived, for two weeks now! I think we are starting to get a rhythm and that helps a lot. I have only had a couple days where I have felt like I didn't have any control of any situation going on around me. We are all adjusting and life is good!!! Scratch that.....life is GREAT!!!
