Winning is not about headlines and hardware [medals]. It's only about attitude. A winner is a person who goes out today and every day and attempts to be the best runner and best person they can be! Winning is about struggle and effort and optimism, and never, ever, ever giving up.

WARNING.....THIS IS NOT A HUMBLE POST!

We had our very first Parent Teacher Conference tonight...I guess they are called SEP Conferences now. Anyway.....I am so freakin' proud of our little girl!!! Excuse me, our BIG girl! I know we are not supposed to have pride, but forget that......I am so proud of Eliza, she is amazing!! She is reading above where she needs to be and that just makes my heart swell! She is doing so great in her writing, letters, sounds, math....she is awesome!! Her teacher just loves her and says she is improving on her focus......which is the one area I have always been a little concerned about. It is crazy to look at her writing from even just a month ago and see how far she has come in such a short amount of time....she is so smart and we are so proud of her!!! She loves to read, loves it...and every time I hear her read a story to her sister and brothers I can't help but smile! She absolutely loves school and especially her teacher!! I know Mrs. Earl has played a major role in Eliza's progress and we are so grateful!! There is nothing greater than to watch your children learn and develop at such a fast rate!!

She is genius material.....and we all know where she gets it from, don't we!!

That is very nice that she is learning so well and fast! Hopefully that lasts well into the teenage years. You are an incredible mom and really deserve to be proud of Eliza. What an incredible kid with great parents!
