Winning is not about headlines and hardware [medals]. It's only about attitude. A winner is a person who goes out today and every day and attempts to be the best runner and best person they can be! Winning is about struggle and effort and optimism, and never, ever, ever giving up.

The End is Near......

Have you ever known your life is going to end? Probably not if you are alive to be reading this...lol! We have entered into the last 20 hours of my life....this time tomorrow I will be on death's doorstep ready to meet my maker and enjoy the peace of the afterlife!

All joking aside, tomorrow is the marathon. I have been training since September and I have never been more nervous than I am now. Later today I will go to Provo Towne Center mall and pick up my bib and timing chip. My New Year's resolution is coming into reality and I am not sure how I feel about it! I am excited and yet I feel as though it will be the end of me. This is huge for me, and for someone without a lot of self confidence.....I am a little shaky and wondering why on earth I would have made this a goal! Oh well, I can't back out now.

My day ahead will be full of carbs, a priesthood blessing, a relaxing hot bath and hopefully a great nights sleep!! Here's hoping!!

Catch ya on the flip side!
