Winning is not about headlines and hardware [medals]. It's only about attitude. A winner is a person who goes out today and every day and attempts to be the best runner and best person they can be! Winning is about struggle and effort and optimism, and never, ever, ever giving up.

Fun in The Sun!

Monday's are usually very hard for me, and yesterday was no exception. I think they are so hard because I am alone again after having Aaron home for three days...his three day weekends have come to spoil me and I miss him come Monday!!

Yesterday my house was a little cluttered and could have used a cleaning, I have flowerbed outside that needs a little attention and some laundry that needed to be done. On top of that the kids have been wanting to go to Grandma Suzi's house and swim in her big pool. So, I decided the house could wait, it would be there tomorrow, and we could go spend a day at Grandma's house! Liza packed the swim bag, I packed some lunches and we went on our way.

When we got there, the noise level in Grandma's house rose about 200 times!! Misty and her kids live there and when you add my four to her two it gets noisy!! Then Megan showed up with her three, we were only missing Tami and Bentley to make it complete! It is so fun to play with cousins and I am so glad we live so close that they can develop such good relations with their cousins! They had a good time playing in the pool, drawing on with sidewalk with chalk, riding bikes and soaking up the sun!

I had called Aaron before we left to let him know where we were going to be. He usually gets off at 4 and I didn't know when we would leave and I wanted him to know where we were if he got home before us. We ended up leaving Grandma's shortly after 3 so I could try to get the house clean before Aaron got home. When we turned the corner I saw Aaron's car in the driveway!! I was so surprised to see his car home so early! When we walked into the house he had cleaned it and vacuumed and cleaned the kids' bathroom!!! What a guy! I am so lucky to have such a fantastic husband! He is amazing! He said that when I called him to tell him we were leaving he decided he would come home early and surprise me by having the house clean. I almost cried! He is so great and so amazing I wonder if I deserve such an incredible husband!! He made my day!
