Aaron's little sister Megan was sealed yesterday in the Salt Lake Temple. Aaron was able to be in the ceremony, while I was waiting with the kids. Sad to say, that was their first time down to Temple Square, but they were so amazed with the beauty of the Temple and the surrounding buildings. It was fun to talk to them about the sacredness and holiness of the Temple and how very important it is and the wonderful and amazing things that are done inside. They wanted to go in, because we went inside the Oquirrh Mountain Temple, but I very quickly explained to them why the difference.
Even though it was extremely cold, we ventured out to take pictures while we waited. Eliza was so taken by the Temple, she kept saying how amazingly beautiful it is!! She wanted to know why she couldn't be at her aunt's wedding. She has seen them on movies and TV and thought for sure she should be there. We explained to her that weddings between two people of our faith are slightly different. They are more sacred and special and to attend you need to be an endowed member, meaning wear underwear like mommy's and daddy's, and be in good standing. She said she still didn't get it, but moved on anyway. I am not worried about her understanding it now anyway....hopefully we have a good 20 plus years before she'll be getting married ;).
After the ceremony Aaron came back out and a very kind Temple Missionary offered to take our picture. I am so very grateful for the opportunity Aaron and I had to be sealed in the Temple. I am so grateful my kids will be mine for eternity and that I will be with Aaron for eternity. The blessings of the Temple are wonderful and we are so blessed to have them in our lives!!!

Wow, your kids are CUTE! Love the pics... it sure does look cold!
What a happy day!
Just with future weddings if you ever need a babysitter at the temple so you/Aaron can go in too, I love doing that.
