Winning is not about headlines and hardware [medals]. It's only about attitude. A winner is a person who goes out today and every day and attempts to be the best runner and best person they can be! Winning is about struggle and effort and optimism, and never, ever, ever giving up.

Times of Change

Wow, it is crazy to think of how much has happened since our last post. Time keeps moving forward even when we are not ready for it to.

The last weekend of March we had our Ward Easter Party and BBQ. It is always fun to be able to get together outside of church and enjoy the friendships we have made with our ward members and friends. At the BBQ, they had a Spring Dessert Bake Off....when I heard the Bishop was going to be the one judging I knew exactly what I was going to make. I had previously made him a cheesecake and he said he really enjoyed it, so I made one for the Bake Off. It was the winning dessert!!! I don't know if using my knowledge was cheating or just being resourceful!! My friend said I should post it to our blog, so she took a picture for me, after the judging, so there is some missing. If I were thinking I would have taken a picture before, but then how often do I really think!!

Easter Weekend we drove up to Idaho for the Sagers family annual Easter Egg Hunt and Lunch at the Twin Falls Power Plant. We drove up on Friday night, arriving at my grandparents, just outside of Burley, around 10:30 pm. Saturday morning we woke up and left to drive to Twin. It is so great to see my grandparents after so long of not seeing them. I wish we got up there more often, but sometimes life just doesn't allow. In Twin we had a good lunch with my aunts and uncles and cousins, plus some other people whom I had never met. The kids had a great time looking for eggs and getting too much candy!! Easter Traditions are so much fun, and it is great to see the kids enjoy themselves and be able to visit family!!

Marshall has been sitting up by himself for quite a while now!! We are so excited to see how he is growing and reaching the milestones in his life. He is now crawling army style, getting close to the standard crawl, I am beginning to notice all the little things in the carpet that could end up in his
mouth. His personality is growing and developing just as quickly as he is!!

Caidin has decided that since the girls share a bed he and Marshall can share one too. There have been many times that Aaron and I have heard Marshall start crying after he had fallen asleep. We go in only to find Caidin has climbed up into the crib and trying to sleep with his brother, while it is really cute, it is also frustrating.

I am totally beat after working two jobs, outside of being a mom, this last week. I am officially a Wal-Mart employee. Last week was my first week working at the new Saratoga Springs Wal-Mart and my last week working at South Valley Women's Health Care. After working days at South Valley I went and did a 10pm to 4:30 am shift at Wal-Mart. Luckily that schedule is not my official one. The store officially opens to the public on the 29 of April and with that opening my schedule will change a little, I think. While I miss my family and friends at South Valley, I am glad to have found a job at night so I can be at home with my kids during the day. That is where I need to be!!! If you are ever suffering from insomnia, and feel like taking a drive....come on out to Saratoga Springs and check out the new Wal-Mart. If you will be doing some shopping I could be your cashier!!

Life is good, it throws us curve balls and we try to adjust!! The kids grow, and the parents feel old!! Everyday, there is a new day tomorrow!
