Winning is not about headlines and hardware [medals]. It's only about attitude. A winner is a person who goes out today and every day and attempts to be the best runner and best person they can be! Winning is about struggle and effort and optimism, and never, ever, ever giving up.

First Camping 2009

Well, we our out on our first camping trip of 2009 and we have had a lot of fun. We are down at the Pleasant Creek Ranch in Mount Pleasant, UT. This is our second time coming down here and the weather is so much better this time. We got here on Thursday and will be heading home tomorrow. Thursday and Friday it was overcast and cloudy with a little rain here and there, but it was warmish and we went swimming in the pool, the kids are little fish and had a great time. The weather today was much nicer this morning, the skies were blue and the sun was hot. We went swimming and were able to enjoy the water without too much shivering. We are glad we got here when we did, because it filled up quickly. We are in the same spot we were last year, for which Aaron was very glad. The kids, and I, enjoyed some free ice cream because Aaron took a look at the boiler for the pool heater. He is always shmoozing the older gals to get free stuff;)

It has been nice to have some time off from working at Wal-Mart. This was my first Friday off since I started and that was cause to celebrate!!! I traded shifts with a co-worker so I could get Saturday off as well to make our trip last just a little bit longer, it has been really nice. Working graves and then dealing with four little kids all day has proven to be a bit harder than I thought it would be. I come home and get an hour, two if I am lucky, of sleep and then get up with the kids. Some days are easier than others, and then there are the days that I just cry and wish it would all go away. I hope I am not the only mother that has those feelings!!

Aaron has a new toy!! He paid cash for a Jeep Grand Cherokee that he is working on and trying to get fixed so it can become his hunting vehicle. We got it from a man I met working at Wal-Mart. Aaron was very excited to get his jeep back since he has given up two since we met and got married so that we could get more fuel efficient vehicles. The good thing about this one is, it is paid off and it is not his commuter car. It does need some work, so it will be a long project because before you can work on a car, you need money!! (For those who are maybe keeping track, yes that makes car #11 in 6 years!!)

Marshall is getting bigger everyday!! He is now pulling himself up on the chairs and couches and even starting to try to walk along them. He is teething again, this time it is all four of his top front teeth!! I told Aaron to remind me to never go camping with a teething baby again, because he has been cranky and whiny almost the entire time. Then there is Caidin, he turned two on May 15 and boy oh boy is he acting his age!!! He has become such a terror sometimes that I think , had he been my first...he would be an only child!!!! I had no idea boys could be so much trouble!! He is getting close to being potty trained though! He tells me when he needs to go potty, but it is not always on time.

Overall, life is good. Hope all is well with all of you!!!!
