I am still working at Wal-Mart *argh!*, but I guess it could be worse. I got a promotion from cashier to Customer Service Supervisor, so that has been a plus. After four months of working overnights, I have been worn down emotionally and physically...it is not as easy as I thought it would be. Two hours of sleep a night, sometimes a little more on weekends, is not enough for anyone. So anyway, I talked to some of the assistant managers and an evening CSS and we have switched our shifts. She wanted overnight and I needed something with the possibility for more sleep so we traded each other and now I will be working a 6pm to 10pm shift a couple nights a week. I am having mixed emotions about it though, because I wonder now if it will be enough?
Eliza and Marshall had their birthdays!! Eliza is 5 and Marshall is 1....it is kind of a bittersweet thing. Marshall's birthday was the 20th, and that was the day of Eliza's kindergarten pre-assesment. That was an emotional day for me...my oldest is going to school and my baby is getting older. I did realize too that it was the first, first birthday that I was not pregnant with our next baby!!! I don't know if we will have more babies in the future, but for the here and now I think we are done. Four in 4 years and 3 days is pretty good:)! Marshall is a walking machine, and climbing for that matter! He walks all over the house and climbs onto everything! He has really started to show a personality, and he is so cute!! Eliza did AWESOME at her pre-assesment, she is so incredibly smart. We are so excited to have her be starting school. She is a little more excited than I am. I told Aaron, I don't know what I am going to do when she starts school!! I am so nervous about the whole thing, whenever I think about it I get knots in my stomach. When we went to meet with her teacher, I felt like it was my first day of school or something. She is so ready, but I know I am going to cry like a baby!! He told me, "You will drop her off with a smile, you will pick her up with a smile, and you will bawl like a baby inbetween", I think he knows me a little too well sometimes.
For our family birthday party for Eliza and Marshall, we went to a splash park my sister Megan recently discovered. It was a lot of fun, the weather was a little overcast, but the kids had a lot of fun!! It is just off of Bangerter and 2700 West, north of the reservoir that is right there if you are familiar with the area. Eliza was able to invite one friend and she chose to bring her friend Madison. Madison is such a cute girl, we are so blessed to have such great neighbors to be friends for our kids!! We practically had the splash park to ourselves, so that made it even more enjoyable. I even got into it and ran through the water with the kidlets. It was fun, Aaron didn't want to get his clothes wet, so he didn't run through...every party needs at least one.
Eliza starts school on Thursday, I will definetly be posting that day!!!
